Electrical Project Coordinator Jobs

table mid-sized electrical contractor with projects secured for the next 3-5 years. We are currently recruiting Electrical Coordinators who are interested in Design Build Government Funded projects both in the Transit and Institutional sectors. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by some of the best project managers in a supportive and promotive environment!

This group is looking for their future leaders and you will be mentored directly by the lead senior pm! Ideally, you will have 2-4+ years of experience in the ICI contracting market, preferably with an electrical background and in a electrical coordinator position.

The coordinator will assist with the overall project performance and keep a close relationship with their mentor, the senior project manager to help ensure construction projects run smoothly on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

-Assist the Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met.

- Work with and ensure all health and safety policies are followed / met.

- Assist in planning and preparing of construction schedules

- Monitor the jobs progress against set timelines

-Assist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

-Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections

-Estimate project changes and impacts

-Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs

-Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships

-Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients

-Document control

-Assist in purchasing supplies and materials as required to complete projects

Requirements:

- Electrical Engineering, Construction Technical Diploma and/or equivalent trade experience and knowledge

-2-4+ years’ experience in a coordinator role, preferably electrical contacting or electrical engineering.

-Basic knowledge of the construction industry

-Planning and scheduling skills

-Understanding of project forecasting and projections

-Ability to read drawings and project/structural design interpretation

-Competency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products

-Dispute resolution and negotiation skills
