Job Description

To help our company move to the next level and enable us to build an even more compelling education experience, we are looking for a Education SAAS Solutions Sales Executive.


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Executive to lead our direct sales efforts targeting federal, provincial/state, regional, and district school superintendents and decision makers. This position requires a deep understanding of SPIN selling principles and expertise in selling professional learning solutions for educators. As the Sales Executive, you will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle for our SAAS-based education company, which offers a comprehensive information guidance system incorporating formative assessment tools and gamification of the North American Math Curriculum. You will work closely with account managers to facilitate guided discovery and help close new business, complex renewal contracts, and foster the growth of influential accounts. This role will leverage our network of influential Math educators and carry a total addressable market (TAM) of $15 million.


What you will be doing

  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations tailored to the needs of individual customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and other performance metrics established by the company.
  • Collaborate with account managers to guide discovery conversations and ensure thorough understanding of customer needs and pain points.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and other sales-related information to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to drive customer satisfaction and product adoption.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, leveraging our network of influential Math educators to influence purchasing decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, education policies, and curriculum changes that impact the sales process.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Utilize SPIN selling principles and techniques to effectively engage and persuade federal, provincial/state, regional, and district school superintendents and decision makers.
  • Drive the full cycle of SAAS sales, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.


What you need to succeed

  • Proficiency in using CRM software, sales productivity tools, and MS Office suite.
  • Deep understanding of SPIN selling principles and experience applying them in a complex sales environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in the education industry and with SAAS solutions.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of the education market, including familiarity with education policies, curriculum standards, and key decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to establish trust and credibility with customers at all levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
