Position Summary


The Ecommerce Manager is accountable for the online sales and profitability. You work closely with all Oak and Fort departments to ensure cross channel alignment in customer experience, strategy and branding. The successful candidate with oversee a team of specialists that bring our Product to life online, and consistently unlock new opportunities to optimize our digital growth and site experience. Please note this is a one year contract with potential opportunity for an extension.


Responsibilities


  • Manage, mentor and develop team for future growth within the department and organization;
  • Responsible for improving and driving product findability and digital content processes across multiple categories;
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned
  • Manage the business in-season and make recommendations or revisions to site navigation, experience or site content;
  • Develop digital merchandising strategies and processes that support our eCommerce strategic goals;
  • Act as digital merchandising lead for Tech related site enhancements and initiatives and ensure updates are communicated out to the business;
  • Strong working knowledge in site analytics tools (Google Analytics);
  • Conceptualize, prioritize and establish editorial strategies/best practices and partner with marketing, creative and photography teams to ensure they are built in alignment with company objectives and budgets;
  • Work with product planning and supply chain teams to build inventory plans that support our growth and item level demand;
  • Partner with Client Experience to develop recommendations to address usability and findability issues, reducing friction and increasing conversion;
  • Accountable for achieving topside sales plans, conversion goals, usability performance targets and corporate objectives;
  • Partner with business leadership teams to both influence, gain alignment and measure performance against our growth strategies;
  • Oversee site merchandising processes to ensure timely live date of taxonomy updates, onsite search rules, and content;
  • Perform ongoing analysis of the business, providing insights to the merchant team and surfacing new ways to drive sales that feed into our seasonal buy processes;
  • Develop overall online strategy by performing in depth analysis of sales and customer behavior, using data to drive business recommendations;
  • Oversee merchandising, copy writing, photo editing, ensuring timely production of merchandise related content with accountability for complete and accurate listings and product findability;
  • Partner with buying teams to build tailored assortments for the online business, including special online-only buys and exclusive categories;
  • Works with an Omnichannel mind-set of growing our customer base that shops across both channels, included the analysis and understanding of BOPIS;
  • Supports Marketing with digital ads, CRM and e-mail marketing initiatives


Requirements


  • A creative and courageous A/B tester that has been through multiple site rebuilds and redesigns
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking
  • Creative eye for design and UX/UI
  • Has exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with utilizing eCommerce technology including, but not limited to Content Management Systems, Payments, Order Management, Fulfillment, Catalog, Online Marketplaces
  • Connects with OAK + FORT aesthetic
  • Has the ability to liaise with different departments and multiple business disciplines
  • Understanding of retail business practices and principles
  • Strong analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results and drawing conclusions
  • Proven leadership of eCommerce projects & operational teams
  • Leadership abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to complex problems
