Talent Acquisition Specialist Job Profile:
At Venturis Capital Corporation, our people are our most important resource. We are looking for a highly skilled recruiting professional to join our team as Talent Acquisition Specialist.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will own a diverse portfolio of open roles and will manage the recruiting process from sourcing through to offer and close. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in recruitment, with comprehensive knowledge of screening and interviewing candidates, sourcing, partnering with hiring managers, and the ability to recognize talent in prospective candidates. Key Objectives:
- Partner with key stakeholders and hiring managers to gain a thorough understanding of hiring needs across the business.
- Grow and foster high-touch relationships with active and passive candidates to ensure an outstanding candidate experience.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for 10+ open roles and achieve hiring goals.
- Operate as a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, moving talent objectives forward and contributing to the ongoing growth of the Venturis Group of Companies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow internal recruitment processes and procedures while also demonstrating authenticity in your approach and developing innovative strategies to achieve hiring goals.
- Act as an ambassador for the Venturis Group of Companies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and leverage internal recruiting tools and systems.
- Act as a Talent Acquisition subject matter expert and trusted advisor and partner to the business.
- Provide additional support to the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources team as needed, fostering a collaborative and positive team dynamic.
- Manage candidates throughout the interview process, including presenting and closing offers.
- Develop and manage relationships with hiring managers and conduct recruitment intake meetings to understand business and hiring needs.
- Actively source candidates to fill open positions and deliver on innovative recruiting strategies to find quality talent.
- Continuously refine your skills and develop your understanding of recruiting best practices, techniques, and strategies.
- Prepare compelling job postings and leverage multiple channels to attract qualified candidates.
- Effectively screen resumes, conduct screening interviews, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Support and drive diversity and inclusion efforts in alignment with our talent strategy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong practical experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, and proven ability to build, manage and track candidate pipelines.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with demonstrated ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience recruiting candidates in Canada and USA strongly preferred.
- Two (2) to four (4) years recent full-cycle recruitment experience with a successful track record in a high-volume and rapidly changing environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proven sourcing skills, with a high degree of proficiency with recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, social media, job boards, etc.
- Ability to deal with confidential matters with tact and discretion.
- Demonstrated achievement in recruiting for hard-to-fill roles, including but not limited to sales, engineering, trades, IT, finance, and/or management positions.
- Well established relationship-building skills, including the ability to listen empathetically and find common ground with a customer-service focused mentality.
- Demonstrated competency in working with competing priorities and effectively managing time and tasks accordingly.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or equivalent strongly preferred.
- High motivation and a strong work ethic, with a genuine interest and passion for Talent Acquisition and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively as a remote employee, both independently and as part of a collaborative, cohesive, and values-driven team.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally and clearly with candidates and stakeholders.
