Job Description

Hays Human Resources division in Ontario, are partnered with our client in Markham to hire a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their growing Human Resources team.


Your new Organization


The organization operates in the education field, and due to continued growth and development are excited to bring on a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their growing team.


Your new Role


As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will work closely with the Director to lead permanent recruitment for the business. You will coach, lead and mentor a group of Talent Acquisition Specialists, and will work closely with relevant parties and hiring managers to maintain the full cycle recruitment process for all necessary hiring. You will lead full cycle recruitment for your business leads, as well as set objectives for the recruitment team and track their progress. This position is for someone who is a strong Talent Acquisition Specialist, and who leverages all relevant recruitment resources in this role, you will lead relevant Job Fairs annually, and be involved in other areas of the business, supporting more special projects as required.


What you’ll need to Succeed


To succeed as the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will bring education, in the form of a bachelor’s degree in human resources or other formal post-secondary education. You will bring a minimum of 5 years of full cycle recruitment experience, from a high-volume environment. You will be a strong and focused Talent Acquisition Specialist who enjoys learning about a business brand and taking that to market, to onboard the best talent! If you bring education from the health care, education, or another relatable industry, this will be considered an asset. You will be a solid communicator, orally and written, will present as professional, and polished and be a people person. You will have strong attention to detail, and time management skills. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a wider Talent Acquisition team and will provide mentorship and support from time to time to more junior members in the group.
