Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a vital role in driving the growth of our organization in Canada and the US by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet our diverse hiring needs while maintaining a strong focus on candidate experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and plans to attract and hire talented individuals in engineering, manufacturing production, operations and support functions.
  • Coordinate and participate in career fairs, industry events, and networking activities to attract top talent.
  • Actively engage in employer branding initiatives to position our organization as an employer of choice within the clean tech / automotive industry.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create comprehensive job descriptions.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in recruitment.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture and Senior Leadership team to negotiate and finalize job offers.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates using various channels such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.


Qualifications:


  • A deep understanding of Talent Acquisition fundamentals, including pipelining passive candidates, employer branding, and sourcing for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Post Secondary Education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with candidates at all levels.
  • Proven work experience with full-cycle recruitment, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing industry. Experience with US Market a bonus.
  • Familiarity with clean tech job market trends, including emerging roles and skills.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and attracting candidates through various channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion, especially as it relates to sensitive candidate information
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
