About The Role
We’re looking for a Director, Facilities to join our growing team!
Now more than ever, you and your team will play an instrumental role in making sure our workplaces are environments where our people feel safe, included, connected, and inspired to be and do their best. This is a fulltime permanent position based in either Toronto or Calgary.
What You’ll Do Here

• Collaborate with Intact’s leadership team to plan and implement strategic post-pandemic return-to-office initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and support opportunities for internal process improvements.
• Direct, manage, and support all aspects of facilities management for West, Ontario and Atlantic locations (15-20 locations)
• Manage external relationships including landlords, real estate agents and suppliers.
• Develop and manage regional budgets and reporting requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of 5+ managers across multiple locations. You will develop emerging leaders, be invested in the engagement of your team, and support your managers to do the same
• Strategic alignment of the real estate portfolio.

What You Bring To The Table

• Experience in managing external vendor relationships
• Solid knowledge and experience in Facilities Management
• Creative mindset, exceptional decision-making skills, and the drive to stay updated on emerging real estate trends
• Experience in managing operations across multiple office locations
• 5+ years of management experience including the ability to motivate and engage a team
• Outstanding customer service, communication, and relationship building skills
• Comfortable working with sense of urgency and can adapt approach and work due to an unexpected or unpredictable situation
• Excellent planning and organizational skills - project management certification or experience is an asset
