CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) experience, including system. administration, implementation, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Collaborate with the Housing Experience Manager for maintenance of Banff and Waterton Staff Accommodations.

Knowledge of tools, procedures, technical skills and safety rules used in the maintenance and repair.

Manage engineering and maintenance concerns.

Create and manage annual capital and operating budgets and monthly forecasts in collaboration with relevant department heads.

Facilities Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities:

·Assisting the Facilities Manager in various construction projects and maintenance of infrastructure throughout the sanctuary.

·Demonstrate extensive knowledge of our facility and related topics

·Significant work experience in outdoor maintenance and operating various landscaping tools

·Passion for learning and willingness to continue to acquire relevant knowledge

·Previous kennel or animal care experience will be considered an asset

Technical skills in modern building maintenance and repair techniques.

Related training, knowledge and understanding in arena refrigeration process, cemeteries, parks, pools, forestry an asset

Experience operating equipment; trucks, tractors with attachments, and front end loaders.

Experience operating power tools and hand tools.

Perform general maintenance and repairs of arenas, libraries, museums, cemeteries, community centres and other municipal administration facilities

Follow generally accepted maintenance and repair standards, administrative policies and practices and the County’s program of preventative maintenance

Supervises, instructs and trains staff to achieve standards of maintenance.

Establish and maintain maintenance standards and develop and recommend maintenance programs.

Maintain the equipment and facility through preventive/predictive maintenance program.

Consults the work orders and personal log book for jobs to be done.

Provide guidance in troubleshooting and repair using the most expedient and thorough methods.

Keep equipment and facility in working condition for maximum uptime.

To maintain buildings and associated equipment in good repair and in attractive, clean condition for public service

Perform general maintenance and repairs of arenas, libraries, museums, cemeteries, community centres and other municipal administration facilities

Follow generally accepted maintenance and repair standards, administrative policies and practices and the County’s program of preventative maintenance

Provide assistance in the moving, relocation and set up of administrative office equipment and supplies as required by other departments

Assist with the operations of the cemeteries, ensuring compliance with municipal and/or provincial policies, procedures, by-laws

Four (4) years post qualification experience in Carpentry and building maintenance.

Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.

Inter-provincial Red Seal certification in Carpentry is an asset.

Knowledge of Nunavut, the land, language and culture is an asset.

Inspects, identifies, schedules, performs, or arranges preventative maintenance to Qulliq Energy Corporation’s (QEC) properties.

Responds to and resolves unscheduled demand reports of structural/superficial damage, mechanical, and electrical failures, and emergencies that affect day-to-day operations.

Excellent planning and organizational skills - project management certification or experience is an asset

Solid knowledge and experience in Facilities Management

5+ years of management experience including the ability to motivate and engage a team

Direct, manage, and support all aspects of facilities management for West, Ontario and Atlantic locations (15-20 locations)

Develop and manage regional budgets and reporting requirements.

Manage external relationships including landlords, real estate agents and suppliers.

10+ years of project management experience on multi-discipline engineering teams with experience in station or maintenance facility design

Key involvement in Business Development, including pre-positioning for opportunities and Proposal Development. Strategic Planning and Client Management

Preparation and negotiation of contract documents, liaison with internal Contract Management / Legal team

Leading multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design transit facility projects for municipal clients as a Project Manager or Project Director.

Be accredited with PMP certification (or working towards)

Experience working for Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies

Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience with building and property management

Compliance and ownership of the site contractor management program

Post-secondary education, preferably in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business or Operations Management or a related Supply Chain Management program;

8-10 years of pertinent facility management experience with a proven track record;

· Direct environmental activities, recycling, and energy management, and ensure compliance with government regulations

PMP certification considered an asset;

Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze results and respond effectively and efficiently;

Very strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills;

Participate on committees to assist with event details and other special requirements

Having good knowledge of the company’s emergency evacuation policies

Minimum 2 years previous experience in recreation facility as a driver

Certification in first aid, CPR, defibrillation

Must possess effective oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of equipment repairs and usage

Additional Technical And Professional Requirements

University or College Certification in a Facilities Management or related discipline

Experience in facilities management and planning in a multi-location retail environment, preferably within the financial services industry

Experience in delivering facilities-related projects using professional project management methodology

7 years’ experience in leading a team at a management level in a related/similar position

Expert knowledge of facilities management practices and competencies

Ability to translate Senior Management requirements into action plans

Knowledge of principles of project management.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritize work.

Knowledge of Agile and DevOps/SecDevOps methodologies.

Ability to provide technical and/or functional guidance to staff and/or students.

Ability to supervise a team.
