The Role:

Medcan is recruiting for a Facilities Attendant to join our client-focused Facilities team, on a casual basis. We are looking for a well-spoken individual with exceptional client service skills and a great attitude. The role is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive conditions of all of the Clinic premises including locker rooms, lounges, offices and examination rooms. The ideal candidate has some housekeeping and light food and beverage experience and an appreciation for attention to detail.

The Accountabilities:

• Assisting nurses in setting up examination rooms throughout the day
• Sterilization of equipment
• Review and reporting of any maintenance deficiencies
• Coordinating with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service
• Stocking and inventory for the clinic lounges
• Housekeeping opening and closing procedures
• Assistance with food and beverage service
• Maintenance of restrooms and locker rooms
• Linen supplies and inventory
• Spot checking and refresh of all public areas
• Checking and distributing incoming deliveries
• Inventory and order placement for daily breakfast, lunch and snacks
• General maintenance of all areas of the clinic
• Responding to client requests
• Clinic supplies and deliveries as needed
• Preventive maintenance
• Setting up and managing breakfast, lunch and snacks in clinic lounges
• Cleaning of equipment in endoscopy suite if-needed
• Disposal of clinic waste including medical/bio hazard waste

The Requirements:

• Strong organization and time management
• Customer service skills training
• Prior hotel Housekeeping experience in a 4-5 Star Hotel is an asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

This is an in-office position and hours are scheduled two days a week, preferably Saturdays and Monday, Saturdays are a must. Must be flexible with schedule as it may change at the discretion of the Manager, Hospitality
