Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. has an opportunity for the position of a Director, Enterprise Applications at our Head Office in North York, ON.
This role will directly report to the Vice President, IT and Special Projects, and will direct, plan, coordinate and lead the Enterprise Applications teams, provide strategic and operational direction for enterprise-wide business data applications, web-based technologies, and operational direction for ERP and other related technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage enterprise application projects, overseeing functional and technical aspects of the implementation including training, support and documentation
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to build an application roadmap that is responsive to business vision, and overall strategy
- Responsible for planning an approach for defining, documenting, categorizing, and packaging requirements for projects and initiatives
- Drive evaluation of options, risks, resource requirements, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize business processes through better use of existing system capabilities and/or changes to system to improve capabilities
- Assist with developing the roadmap that integrates solutions across various businesses
- Lead the identification and resolution of gaps and inconsistencies
- Monitor issues and identify root problems and trends and propose and implement solutions to improve performance, stability, and usability
- Liaise with business management, IT management, vendors, and partners in project related matters as well as lead discussion on strategic direction and best fit alternatives or to align IT plans with Business strategic plans
- Take a leadership role in the implementation, rollout and/or upgrade of Enterprise Applications
- Assist with project management activities on other initiatives by organizing work assignments, establishing deadlines, and monitoring progress
- Manage the Enterprise Applications team ensuring a culture that supports thoroughness and process adherence and that resources and workload are balanced appropriately
- Coordinate information management, business continuity planning, quality assurance, user feedback, document library, and collaboration across integrated technology services
- Comply with IT General Controls and IT Application Controls
- Communicate regularly with all levels of the organization to ensure constant communication and delivery of user and business needs
- Oversee development and support activities for enterprise-wide business applications, web-based technologies, business mobile applications, estimating application (B2W), and JD Edwards (ERP)
- Facilitate development of solutions that combine knowledge of business processes and issues, technological options, and process facilitation techniques.
Requirements
- Demonstrates leadership, flexibility and the ability to lead functional team members
- Demonstrated accuracy with reports and projects, analytical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Exceptional prioritization skills and ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high degree of integrity
- 3+ years of experience in a construction, utilities, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with acquisitions, full life cycle implementation and project management
- Previous experience in process improvement, involving broad based information systems and utilizing advanced tools and techniques to effect business change
- 10+ years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE)
- Strong understanding of current technology trends, overseeing the implementation of systems, technology and controls to improve efficiency and evaluate, identify and selection of new technologies
- Ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects concurrently ensuring that timelines are balanced with resource constraints and resulting deadlines are met.
- Effective communication skills to interact with various internal and external contacts to problem solve, analyze, and improve upon systems
- 5 + Years’ experience managing and leading a team
- Ability to build relationships with the business
- Organized and task oriented.
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, or another business-related field.
