Job Description
This is what you will do:Digital Solutions Enablement (DSE), within the AstraZeneca Rare Disease Unit (ARDU) Transformation team, drives the delivery of clinical development technology, including system architecture and data flow for R&D.


The Digital Solutions Project Management Director has responsibility for delivering successful, complex digitalization projects which align ARDU systems and process within AstraZeneca.


The individual is accountable for providing expert project management, leadership and strategic direction, and for driving the consistent delivery of technology and process relating to integration and alignment efforts that meet business needs and enable patient centric endtoend delivery of clinical development. You will be responsible for:Manage scope and deliverables for critical projects Manage cross functional project team to meet objectives for technology initiatives that are technical and moderate to complex in scope and riskDeliver key updates to governing committees in order to progress through project gates (e.g., project strategy, value, financials and status)Understand the key business impacts by project and support the teams in assessing and documenting risks and mitigationsCreate and validate new/relevant data flow architecture and its delivery to ensure that data flows are seamless to ensure business continuity between harmonized Alexion and AstraZeneca systems and processPartner crossfunctionally to deliver outputs which are Quality aligned and in compliance with GxP, regulations, and guidancesIn close collaboration with relevant partners, support development and implementation of process as part of project rolloutDeliver change management and project communications for varying audiencesEnsure clear communication and alignment between stakeholders and leadership


You will need to have:Bachelors degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience working within clinical trial developmentExperience with varying project management and a good understanding of project and vendor management techniques and methodsExperience with process aligning as a result of mergers or acquisitionsProject and Change Management deliveryTechnical skills and knowledge expertise in study management process, technologies and system architecture (e.g., IRT, eCOA, CTMS, eTMF, Electronic Data Capture, etc.) Experience with training, process development and improvement Effective verbal and written communication, influencing, and partnering skills The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment.
