Job Description

A proven leader and brand strategist, the Director, Brand Development will build cultural credibility for the Psycho Bunny brand through a robust and repeatable calendar of campaigns, and collaborations. Passionate about our products they will position Psycho Bunny as a global market-leader in high-quality polo-led menswear through elevated product marketing and messaging.

Reporting to the VP, Brand & Marketing, this role will lead the brand marketing department and oversee all brand and product marketing activities. Combining brand and corporate strategy, analysis and creativity, this role is accountable for growing awareness and interest in the Psycho Bunny brand across all brand touchpoints and channels. As our brand leader, the Director lives and breathes the brand day in and day out and is laser-focused on protecting and growing the brand - effectively growing brand joy.

Leading the four teams that make up the Brand Marketing department (Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Global Social Media & PR) this role is at the helm of the tactical and analytic functions of these teams as brand & product marketing initiatives are planned, executed, and evaluated. Meeting these team’s goals will require leadership and coaching to ensure teams are high-performance and highly engaged. The role will also oversee department budgets and spend pacing and collaborate with the Strategy and Insights department to play a key role in the development of brand vision and values, ensuring organizational alignment on customer data that will feed strategic decision-making.

This role will require excellent interpersonal and communicative skills, as well as demonstrate sound leadership and decision-making ability. Success will be determined based on marketing effectiveness and efficiency of marketing spend, brand equity and ultimately qualified traffic growth for the brand across all channels.


HOW WILL YOU DO IT?

Brand Marketing


  • Develop and champion marketing org-wide adoption of key campaign workbacks and broader go-to-market calendar
  • Ensure the timely activation of through-the-line brand campaigns and lead the after-activation-review process
  • Oversee Brand Marketing team’s content development and fine-tuning of the brand direction and voice
  • Champion creative excellence and a brand content strategy in line with brand and corporate objectives



Product Marketing


  • Develop and champion marketing org-wide adoption of key campaign workbacks and broader go-to-market calendar
  • Ensure the timely activation of all product campaigns and marketing activities as well as lead the after-activation-review process
  • Champion creative excellence and a product content strategy in line with brand and corporate objectives
  • Oversee Product Marketing team’s content development and fine-tuning of an always-on polo-first quality story


Visual Merchandising


  • Nurture brand engagement and product knowledge initiatives with store-staff
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment with stakeholders across the product and store orgs for all visual merchandising initiatives
  • Oversee the Visual Merchandising team’s planning and in-season activities as well as cross-departmental reviews of proposed floorsets


PR & Global Social Media


  • Oversee the Global Social & PR team’s planning and in-season activities to drive strategic community engagement across channels, including earned and owned media, influencer marketing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting on all team metrics and KPIs


Agency Management


  • Lead the briefing process for all campaigns ensuring all partner agencies (creative, PR, media) are involved in the campaign development process from the outset
  • Ensure budgets are respected and deliverables are on-brand and on-time
  • Manage multiple ongoing agency relationships



WHO YOU ARE


This is what you’ve accomplished

  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration (or equivalent amount of relevant professional experience), MBA or MSc preferred
  • Project management, including budget setting and tracking
  • External agency management (Creative, PR, Media)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, french and english

  • Ability to travel roughly 20% of the time in North America and Internationally
