Role:Desktop Support Admin/Windows Admin

Location:Calgary, Alberta- Canada

• Ensure proper communication and quick resolution. Responsible for Vendor Management.
• Weekly and monthly status reports to management.
• Will be independent enough to install windows-based application on servers and desktop for the client.
• Drives day-to-day operations and work plan allocation/management.
• Take corrective actions based on the customer requirements.

Primary Technical Skills

•Extensive hands-on knowledge of Windows 2008/2012/2016/2019 Servers.

•Hands-on knowledge on PowerShell Scripting.

•Basic understanding in managing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure.

•Ability to install Windows based application on servers and desktop according to customer requirements.

•Exposure to Group Policies creation, their testing and implementation. In-Depth knowledge of DHCP servers designing and planning.

•Troubleshooting of OS related issues and Fine-tuning (patches, users, drives, registry settings, etc.).

•Working knowledge on any of monitoring tools like ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Splunk etc.?

•Should have worked on the patching & antivirus tools.

•Client support ? Provide recommendations for configuration or other improvements to the environment.

•Ability to effectively prioritize, organize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Secondary Skills:

•Application publishing & Decommissioning.

•Administration of DNS, WINS, DHCP Servers.

•Hardware Troubleshooting and Vendor Coordination.

•Basic knowledge on system administration of storage and backup tools.

•Presentation and Analytics.

•Produce detailed and accurate technical documentation.

•Excellent Communication skills.

•Constantly communicates with associates and customers.

Certifications

•ITIL (Service Operations).
