Position Summary
Reporting to the Team Lead for Operations, we are looking for a IT (Windows/VMWare) Systems Analyst to provide support for our hybrid infrastructure. The position will directly support our AD/AAD infrastructure as well as VMWare and windows desktop support. As a small but growing organization, Operations wears a lot of hats so don’t expect this role to be static and boring! There are areas of cross over into networking, operation support for the development groups, security, and cloud as well as new areas to explore.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Support and maintain our VMWare infrastructure by planning, performing, and reviewing maintenance, upgrades, and deployments.
• Providing front line support to our staff for desktop issues including remote management, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Assisting with developing, implementing, and maintaining our requirements for a zero trust environment.
• Desktop deployments using InTune/EndPoint Manager, as well as integrating servers into our existing environment.
• Support and maintain our Active Directory (Server 2016/2019) and Azure Active Directory environments including account maintenance, policy, and direction on new or existing services.
• Overtime and 24/7 on call rotation will be required.
• Maintaining and creating documentation for systems where needed.
• Providing relief and support for other team members during vacations and illness.

Requirements
To ensure success in the role, you will need the following:

• Working knowledge of backup environments and procedures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems Windows Server (2016/2019), Windows 10 Pro, and Windows 11 Pro.
• Networking principles such as routing, switching, and firewalls.
• 4+ years working in a production environment with
• A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a combination of experience and education.
• Working knowledge of VMWare including vCenter and vSphere.
• Working knowledge of network attached storage arrays including NFS, iSCSI, and CIFS.
• Knowledge of infrastructure to support Big Data & Data Mesh Architectures would be nice to have
• Good understanding of the principles behind ITSM, Agile, and DevOps
• Certifications in Azure Active Directory, Windows Server, and VMWare would be nice to have.
• Experience with a zero trust environment.
• Other things that will help you on your Journey with Stream Systems
• Basic knowledge of AWS cloud components including Route 53, EC2, and Site to Site VPNs.
• Working knowledge of DNS, SMTP, IMAP, HTTP(S), and SNMP.
• Understanding of and use of Linux especially RHEL based distributions such as CentOS or Rocky Linux
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Kubernetes would be nice to have.
• A solid understanding of Azure Active Directory deployment and security policy creation, maintenance, and deployment.
• Working knowledge of deployment of endpoints using InTune and Endpoint Manager.

Work environment/Hours/Location
This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week. We are driven by objectives, however, not timesheets. Stream’s head office is location in Calgary, Alberta with remote workers located across the country in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec. We are happy to provide a hybrid work environment, enabling you to work remotely and in office.
