Key Job Responsibilities


Service Tech Responsibilities 60%


  • Provide time required to complete work
  • Clearly identify parts required to complete work.
  • Review run sheet daily to get an overview of jobs scheduled.
  • A detailed explanation of why work was not completed.
  • Replacement and installation of window and door
  • Load service vehicle with parts required for service calls.
  • Clean up job sites during work, and when work is completed to ensure job site is clean.
  • Make initial contact to troubleshoot repair &/or service issues.
  • Set up scaffolding.
  • What has to be done to complete work.
  • Update app and paperwork with notes indicating job has been completed, or provide
  • Repair and make adjustments to exterior doors and PVC window products.
  • Assist in re-glazing PVC window products.


Customer Service & Administration 40%


  • Complete paperwork and reporting.
  • Ensure customer is satisfied with service and product,
  • Provide excellent customer service and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
  • Read and be familiar with SOP’s.
  • Update app and paperwork with notes is completed daily indicating job is completed.
  • Follow health and safety regulations by wearing required equipment and protection.


Required Work Experience


  • Intermediate proficiency in computer skills in Outlook, MS Office (Word, Excel), CRM.
  • 2+ years’ experience in working as a Service Technician in the Window and Doors industry.
  • Working knowledge of both metric and imperial measurements.
  • Have read and be familiar with SOPs.
  • Ability to identify main components of a window and door.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and a varied workforce.
  • Mechanically inclined with mechanical aptitudes and enjoy working with your hands. Experience in using hand tools.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices.

Education Required


  • High School Diploma or GED.


Other Requirements


  • Valid Class 5 Driver License with Clean Driver Abstract.
  • Clear criminal background check.


Working Conditions


  • Comfortable to work at variety of heights from a ladder, manlift or scaffolding.
  • Primarily work in customer residence and businesses. Daily travel from office to job site.
  • Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
  • Standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0 lbs. to 100 lbs.
  • Use standard office equipment such as laptop computers, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Some overnight stay required for out-of-town jobs.
