The temporary Curriculum Administrator provides guidance, administrative support, and direction, and training to the academic, administrative, and support staff as it relates to the Annual Curriculum Review, program and course delivery, including leveraging Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU), Credentials Validation Service, and College directives, policies and procedures., curriculum delivery, and production of marketing initiatives, academic calendar and term activities related to all types of full-time and part-time programs and courses, including flexible delivery modalities offered at the College. The incumbent works closely with the Registrar’s Office and Information Technology Services, as well as with Marketing on the review, approval, and implementation of program and course status changes, as well as major and minor program curriculum revisions, in the SIS. The incumbent interprets program revisions within program modification templates and other forms of documentation, and supports their entry and validation in the SIS, as well as with Marketing on the production of on program pages on the College website. -related marketing initiatives.
The incumbent is integral in supporting targeted, R3-driven curriculum revisions through the Annual Curriculum Review to ensure curriculum readiness and stable SIS data for the 2024-25 academic year, The incumbent and ensures effective internal liaison related to programs and curriculum within the College, and externally with other colleges and universities, local school boards, Ministry officials, and various organizations.
Required Qualifications
  • Vacancy is for P20134
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in a college environment; a minimum of five (5) years in an academic related position, preferably within the College.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and program approval processes.
  • Three (3) year diploma or degree, preferably in Business or Education or Public Administration; related programs would also be considered.
  • In depth knowledge and comprehension of College policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret, comprehend and explain complex data.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and evaluation skills.
  • Position is paid at Payband 10
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle several projects at once and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the community college educational structure and experience in a post-secondary environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Student Information System (GeneSIS) and other internal college management systems, as well as of Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, email software and general comfort with computer technology.
