Unique opportunity seeking a leader and visionary for our partnered client located in Mississauga. Actively seeking a VP of Operations to strategically work with the owner of a growing manufacturing firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a Leader to assess and change process to further develop overall best practices within a facility.
Working closely with the facility lead - the Vice President of Operations will help plan, direct, collaborate, and oversee operations activities, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop change management opportunities to improve overall efficiencies
Working with facility lead to understand process and operations and work closely with management to improve process
Lead, mentor and coach team to assure they follow lean manufacturing concepts
Work with management to develop success planning goals for employee growth
Assure levels of production is outlined and met on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
Able to learn and assess what current principals work and what is a potential risk to the overall business process
Collaborating with the owner to assure the vision and mission statement align with employees
Collection and interprets production reports, metrics to assure goals are being met
Assure minimal H&S issues, maintenance schedule is adhere to by management
Make recommendations on improvements for the facility to maximize efficiency
Able to identify risk and opportunity to further grown overall revenue
Lead Project managers and support as needed
Act as a bridge between the facility and owner and provide feedback on overall Operations
Develop and work with team to roll out new SOP’s
Reduce overall costs through identifying opportunities
Identify opportunity to mitigate risk to vendors, labour and inventory
Requirements
5 years lead experience within a manufacturing or production facility (Will consider VP or C level experience if reporting into a President)
Proven results in change management and developing process
Ability to articulate message with conviction
Ability to work with high volume production standards
Goal orientated & results driven
Business Degree or Masters would be an asset
Ability to develop relationships with internal team
Manage overall relationship with team
