Job Title: Vice President of Production & Operations

Location: Mississauga, ON

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday until 3:30pm, with potential for overtime

Who You Are:

We are currently in search of a Vice President of Production & Operations to join our Mississauga production facility. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Background or experience in manufacturing and production, with a keen understanding of production processes.
• Adept at continuous monitoring and problem-solving to ensure consistent achievement of company objectives and targets.
• Self-driven, proactive, and initiative-driven.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume projects and oversee production line adjustments to meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an executive or managerial role.
• Highly analytical and data-driven.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a significant track record in team training, development, and mentoring.
• Goal-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Accountability for the outcomes and outputs of both the Production and Project Management teams.
• Proficient in interpersonal relations.
• Capable of leading diverse teams with varying skill sets and backgrounds.
• A seasoned leader with expertise in production processes and business operations.
• Proficiency in the store fixture or point of purchase display industry.

Experience:

• A history of contributing to business growth and a clear vision for optimizing available resources.
• Experience leading various departments, including project managers and production teams, while aligning with overarching business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee production • Supervise the production process and ensure policies, procedures and guidelines are being followed • Supervise and mentor the Plant Manager and the Production team o Ensure the team is working together in a productive and efficient manner • Monitor production processes on an on-going basis and implement rewards and penalties as required • Ensure our warehouse is using all space saving measures available to minimize our need for additional temporary space • Work with HR and Plant Manager to create and execute staff skills training, improving our overall productivity • Ensure the collection, monitoring and analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly metrics by the Production team. These metrics relate to labour hours, materials, production output, etc. • Ensure completion of any tasks, implementation of any initiatives, and resolving any issues as a result of the analysis of the metrics • Supervise maintenance of all machinery in the building, ensuring the plant manager schedules maintenance as necessary • Research and recommend machinery improvements to maximize our efficiency

Compensation: $140,000-$150,000
