Southridge Building Supplies, a leading supplier of construction materials, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Sales Person to join our dynamic team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong sales skills and a passion for the construction industry. As a Contract Sales Person, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and maintaining strong relationships with our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities with contractors, builders, and other industry professionals.
2. Generate leads and establish a pipeline of potential clients through effective prospecting techniques.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
4. Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's growth.
5. Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions using our wide range of construction materials and products.
6. Prepare accurate and competitive quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales deals.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to effectively position our products and services.
8. Provide exceptional after-sales support, addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
9. Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics and operations, to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery of products.
10. Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and customer data in the company's CRM system.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in contract sales, preferably in the construction or building supplies industry.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with customers.
3. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
4. Solid understanding of construction materials and their applications.
5. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
6. Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
7. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries and issues with professionalism.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in sales or marketing is a plus.
