Jr. Engineer Jobs

Dynamic has a rich history in telescopes and observatories and we have been involved in over half the telescope observatory enclosures on earth. Building on our telescope observatory experience, our Dynamic Optics team is focused on the production of Lightweight Mirrors and developing Ultra-Thin Mirror Technology. This team is now seeking a Jr. Engineer to provide technical and organizational support as they continue their ground-breaking work.

Responsibilities

• Produce and manage design requirements and interfaces
• Other reasonable duties as may be assigned
• Produce and assist with engineering drawings, analysis, bill of materials, and process specifications (material specs, work instructions, test procedures etc.)
• Liaise and support drafters and designers with the production of shop drawings
• Perform qualification and verification testing. Clearly document and present test results.
• Develop and evaluate design concepts to solve complex multi-disciplinary challenges
• Support design verification, production and assembly, integration and tests, including field visits as required
• Produce specifications and liaise with vendors to ensure component quality and integration suitability

Skills & Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability leading multi-disciplined project teams
• Demonstrated ability and desire to quickly learn new skills, software, and systems
• EIT or eligible to enroll is preferred
• Demonstrated hands-on engineering, instrumentation, and testing experience
• Strong technical and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to form relationships with others
• Experience and understanding of communication systems and dynamic modelling and control.
• Demonstrated experience in design, qualification testing and commissioning of high reliability systems in accordance with internal and external quality standards
• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline (mechatronics and robotics background preferred)
