Bookkeeper - Jr/Clerk

We are seeking a bookkeeping clerk for a junior position to assist with a multitude of companies.

The candidate for this role must be willing to learn and adhere to our company standards, be responsible, computer literate, able to multi-task and be highly motivated.

Duties Include But Not Limited To

• Word processing and document production duties, including preparation of reports and letters, photocopying, scanning and binding
• Arrange couriers
• Bank reconciliations
• Receive, sort and distribute the mail
• Write ups for bank accounts, credit cards, loans, etc.
• Payroll processing
• Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
• Maintains general ledger of accounts through daily recordkeeping including general data entry, verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Ensure that A/P and A/R are accurately listed and up to date
• Organizing and sorting of documents
• Preparation of GST reports
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management
• Assisting in preparing annual financial statements including year-end working paper preparation and preparation of internal financial statements
• Other duties as assigned
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Reconcile accounts and bank statements

Qualifications

• 1-5 years experience
• Ability to multitask
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Quickbooks online experience
• Advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite
• Problem solving
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of an organization
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
