The Role


As a part-time Bookeeper you will be primarily responsible for handling the day to day bookkeeping and administrative needs of the company, including coordinating client requests.


Your Success Will Be Achieved By


  • Review Accounts Receivable Report and Follow-up with clients on overdue invoices
  • Complete Monthly Reconciliation of Bank Statements
  • Pay Quarterly Management Dividend (No GST)
  • Complete month-end payroll
  • Pay Contractor Time Sheets and Vendor bills
  • Complete Monthly Reconciliation of Mastercard Statements
  • Review Employee Timesheets to ensure they are submitted.
  • Calculate GST Payments for Jeff Hold Co's
  • Complete Monthly Reconciliation of Visa Statements
  • Calculate Quarterly GST Payment and Pay Government
  • Quarterly Interim Income Tax Payments (ask Jeff to pay - he also has the total owing)
  • Pay Visa and Mastercard bills (Remind Jeff and put in QB once he confirms payment)
  • Pay Management Fees (Include GST) (Put in QB)
  • Complete Microsoft SPLA Audit and send Spreadsheet to Ingram Micro
  • Collect Cheques and complete Bank Deposits
  • Check Connectbooster monthly autopay for any errors
  • Calculate Monthly PST Payment and Pay Government
  • Audit Open Item Receipts
  • Complete Monthly Reconciliation of Beanstream/Chase Payments
  • Review Accounts Payable and Pay Vendor Invoices by Cheque where required
  • Review Accounting Ticket Queue and Action new tickets
  • After Reconciliation Send 3 Reports to CEO
  • Complete Monthly Veeam Usage Report and send to Vendor


Who you are:
  • Strong communications skills to include written/oral English
  • Excellent Team Player
  • High school diploma
  • Part-time: Flexible hours (up to 20 Hours per week: 2-3 days per week) within business hours Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
  • A passion for outstanding Customer Service
  • Effective coordination, follow-up and time management skills
  • A positive personality and attitude, and an eagerness to learn and improve
  • Prior work experience on Quickbooks
  • Salary: $18-$20 per Hour
  • Good understanding of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to be adaptable, flexible, multi-task and perform routine based tasks
