Cloud Administrator (Contract) Jobs

CoreFactor is searching for a cloud administrator to join one of our clients in the GTA.

This is a contract opportunity with an initial term of 1 year to start with the opportunity to extend.

This role is fully remote with occasional travel into the office for team meetings and get togethers.

In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Perform security audits
• Administration of our Video Management System
• Strategize and identify new technologies and tools to improve performance, stability, revenue
• Auditing our current infrastructure and providing recommendations for improvements
• Perform load testing
• Maintain highly-available production environments serving multi-million page-views/week
• Hands on implementation of Infrastructure as Code
• Assist in vendor investigation
• Manage our support ticketing system
• Manage code deployment processes

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in server administration, build and maintenance of highly available cloud architectures
• Excellent communicator
• College degree in IT, Computer Science or similar fields
• Should have extensive experience with Amazon Web Services in a clustered and load-balanced environment
• Familiarity with continuous delivery and integration

Required skills:

• Cloud: AWS experience is required, GCP is a plus
• Containerization: Docker, ECS
• Infrastructure as Code: AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform
• CI/CD: CodePipeline preferred
• Scripting: Bash, Python (Django framework nice to have)
• Search Index: AWS ElasticSearch preferred

Experience in the following are a plus:

• Cache Memory: (any caching service) Redis preferred
• Database: any cloud DB (AWS RDS postgres preferred)
• Content Management System: WordPress preferred
• Log Monitoring: (any monitoring tool) CloudWatch preferred
