Job Description
Our client; Triton, is seeking a self-motivated and positive minded individual who enjoys a mixture of office and field related duties. The responsibilities of this position will include a variety of tasks and roles related to civil infrastructure design, contract administration and construction observation. This position has opportunities for growth and advancement, as you progress in your career and demonstrate the skills and desire to take on additional responsibilities.


Role and Contribution


  • Quantify and confirm construction materials and items for tender document and engineering cost-estimate preparation
  • Prepare and circulate regular construction progress reports/memos.
  • Interpret and review engineering drawings, design reports, contract documents and applicable technical specifications.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to ensure construction complacency and resolve any problems or discrepancies.
  • Preparation of regulatory approval applications.
  • Assist with engineering design through the use of appropriate design software.
  • Contract Administration involving daily construction observation and documentation.
  • Respond to technical queries during the tendering and construction phases.
  • Quantify and document contract items and prepare regular payment certificates and change orders.
  • Obtain all appropriate as-built information for transfer to design drawings.
  • Assist to understand and respond to public queries and impacts during construction activities.


Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications


  • Proficient with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid “G” drivers license in good standing with access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge in the use of AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures, construction plan and profile drawings and applicable engineering specifications.
  • Effective written and oral communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Graduate from a recognized college or university program or 5+ years within the engineering/construction field.
  • Exhibits an understanding of engineering design principles related to municipal infrastructure.
