What is the opportunity?


RBC Dominion Securities (RBC DS) is currently seeking a Client Solutions Specialist (CSS) to join the Québec team as well as work on firmwide initiatives. Proactively working with several RBC DS branches within the region, the CSS role is designed to help transition RBC DS clients to the home of best fit within RBC.


What will you do?


  • Assist as the main point of contact within the CSS team regarding the investment advisory leave program
  • Ensure client inquires and administrative tasks are acted upon in a timely and efficient manner and that all activity is recorded in the contact management system
  • Reach out to clients and engage in deep discovery discussions
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with colleagues across all RBC platforms
  • Determine the most suitable department of RBC for each client and ensure a smooth transition when referring to partners
  • Engage in RBC DS branch presentations regarding the CSS program
  • Connect with potential clients who communicate by phone or email through the RBC Wealth Management website and assess their fit for this platform or another department of RBC
  • Act as a backup for other CSS colleagues across the country, when required
  • Liaise with RBC DS management and advisory teams to facilitate client transitioning


What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • Flexibility of schedule as there may be a need to support other regions across the country
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), preferably actively approved by IIROC as a registered and licensed Investment Representative (IR)
  • 2 years or more of professional experience within the financial services industry
  • Fluency in French and English in order to serve our clients in the community with English-speaking needs
  • Dedication to teamwork and collaboration
  • Superior time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Client service experience
Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of the investment products and service offerings among all RBC platforms (e.g., RBC Direct Investing, RBC InvestEase, RBC Royal Bank, RBC Dominion Securities, RBC Insurance, etc.)
  • Approval by IIROC as a duly registered and licensed Registered Representative (RR)
