Résumé de l’emploi


McKesson Canada est à la recherche d’une personne énergique et très motivée pour faire partie de notre équipe. Le titulaire du poste sera chargé de concevoir, de mettre en œuvre et de moderniser l’infrastructure de réseau de McKesson axée sur les réseaux filaires et sans fil. Fournir un soutien de troisième niveau aux unités opérationnelles et aux partenaires de McKesson. Recommander des changements essentiels pour développer l’infrastructure de réseau de pointe. La créativité et l’expertise technique sont des éléments cruciaux de ce travail.


Section A – Responsabilités spécifiques


  • Effectuer des tâches de planification des capacités sur l’ensemble des réseaux et terminaux McKesson.
  • Examiner tous les aspects du réseau McKesson et collaborer avec les partenaires en interréseautage de façon à garantir et préserver le temps de disponibilité des composants essentiels.
  • Résoudre toutes les pannes, modifications et occurrences importantes qui pourraient avoir une incidence sur l’entreprise.
  • Réviser de façon proactive les processus de travail et mettre en œuvre des améliorations continues.
  • Collaborer avec nos partenaires et jouer un rôle clé avec ces derniers.
  • Servir de source secondaire pour la mise à niveau et la mise à jour de nouvelles versions pour tous les équipements de réseautage.
  • Assurer la configuration de toutes les images de réseautage (routeurs, commutateurs, etc.)
  • Concevoir, mettre à l’essai et documenter les réseaux d’entreprise pour livrer des solutions répondant aux exigences d’affaires.


Section B – Responsabilités générales


  • Se conformer aux politiques, procédures, normes, directives et pratiques établies.
  • Établir des relations avec les collègues, de même qu’avec les partenaires de l’extérieur.
  • Maintenir les normes et buts de rendement liés au poste, tel qu’il est défini dans les processus de gestion du rendement.
  • Prodiguer des conseils et avis dans le domaine de spécialisation.
  • Posséder les compétences requises pour accomplir les fonctions et les responsabilités liées au poste; être autonome dans la plupart des aspects du travail.
  • Compréhension approfondie de l’arborescence, de l’agressivité des liaisons, de la prévention des boucles, des ports de tronc, du contrôle d’accès aux ports, des protocoles avancés de routage et de commutation (BGP, OSPF, HSRP, MPLS, VLAN, VXLAN, etc.) et des normes (Ethernet, WAN, VoIP, TCP/IP)
  • S’autodiriger dans ses échanges avec les clients, renseigner les clients au sujet des événements à venir, communiquer les problèmes ou modifications planifiés à l’offre de produits et services.


Section C – Exigences du poste


  • Esprit d’équipe, bonne gestion du temps, compétences organisationnelles et capacité de travailler de façon autonome.
  • Bonnes compétences analytiques et excellentes aptitudes au diagnostic de pannes.
  • Une expertise des protocoles de niveau 2 et de niveau 3 est requise.
  • Le.la titulaire de ce poste aura à soutenir de façon quotidienne des clients internes et/ou externes à l’extérieur du Québec et/ou aux États-Unis. Par conséquent, ce poste requiert une maîtrise de l’anglais à l’écrit et à l’oral. Veuillez noter que le nombre de postes dont les tâches requièrent une connaissance de la langue anglaise a été restreint dans la mesure du possible.
  • Esprit pondéré et logique, orienté vers les détails, bonnes aptitudes à la prise de décision et rigoureuse éthique de travail.
  • Connaissance approfondie de l’architecture de réseautage (commutateurs, routeurs, coupe-feu, passerelles vocales, etc.), ainsi que de la plateforme matérielle et de Cisco IOS.
  • Baccalauréat ès sciences spécialisé en sciences informatiques ou équivalent.
  • Aptitude à travailler efficacement en situation de crise, en mode multitâche et efficacité sous la pression.
  • Connaissance des constructions de réseaux en nuage public (GCP, Azure).
  • La compétence de rédaction de scripts est un atout.
  • Expérience minimum de 10 ans d’expérience en tant qu’ingénieur(e) de réseau ou dans un poste équivalent.
  • Connaissance approfondie de la technologie de réseautage Meraki de Cisco, un atout.
  • L’anglais et le français sont obligatoires.
  • Bonne compréhension des technologies Aruba, Infoblox, F5 et Viptela (SD-WAN).
  • Excellentes compétences en matière de communication orale.

Job Summary


McKesson Canada is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to become a part of our team. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing and modernizing McKesson’s network infrastructure focusing on wired and wireless networks. Provides third-level support to business units and McKesson partners. Recommend critical changes to develop state of the art network infrastructure. Creativity and technical expertise are crucial parts of this job.


Section A - Specific Responsibilities


  • Examines all aspects of the McKesson network and participates with the Internetworking partners to ensure and maintain uptime to key and critical components.
  • Design, test, and document Enterprise networks to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Act as the secondary source for updates and upgrades to new versions for all networking equipment.
  • Collaborates and plays a key role with our partners.
  • Responsible for the configuration of any networking image (routers, switches, etc.)
  • Perform capacity planning tasks on all McKesson networks and devices.
  • Proactively reviews work process and implements continuous improvements.
  • Resolve all major outages, changes and occurrences that will be business impacting.


Section B – General Responsibilities


  • Deep understanding of spanning tree, link aggression, loop prevention, trunk ports, port access control, advanced routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, HSRP, MPLS, VLAN, VXLAN, etc.) and standards (Ethernet, WAN, VoIP, TCP/IP)
  • Ensures to sustain job performance standards and goals set through the performance management process.
  • Ability to provide guidance and advice in area of specialization.
  • Qualified to execute job role accountabilities working independently on most aspects of work.
  • Develops relationships with peers as well as external partners.
  • Self-directed in dealing with customers, updates customers on upcoming events, issues or planned changes to product and service offerings.
  • Adheres to established policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and practices.


Section B - Position Requirements


  • Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of Aruba, Infoblox, F5 and Viptela (SD-WAN) technologies.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki networking technology is a must.
  • Scripting skill is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years as a network engineer or equivalent working experience.
  • Team player, good time-management, organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in crisis situations, in multi-tasking mode and efficiently under pressure.
  • Responsible, logical, and detailed oriented with good decision making abilities, organized, methodical with rigorous work ethic.
  • Being familiar with public cloud networking constructs (GCP, Azure) is a plus.
  • The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.
  • Very knowledgeable of networking architecture (switches, routers, firewalls, voice gateways, etc.), Cisco IOS and hardware platform.
  • Good analytical skills with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • English and French languages are mandatory.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.


Our Base Pay Range for this position


$80,400 - $134,000
