CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Clerk, Customer Service! Reporting to the Coach, SmartLife & Assistive Technology Programs, the Clerk, Customer Service provides general support to Smart Life and Assistive Technology Programs.
Your impact at CNIB

• Provides information to Smart Life customers concerning items available through the online store.
• Assists with the planning and implementation of programming for clients, Accessible technology coaching, Smart Life, and virtual programs
• Demonstrates assistive technology, including Voiceover and various apps for iPhone and iPad.
• Assists and provides guidance for individuals participating in the CNIB Foundation's programming.
• Administrative responsibilities in support of CNIB operations including answering calls and responding to in-person inquiries involving client service, events and programming.
• Assists customers with ordering products using the computer and over the phone.

Requirements
Who you are:

• University or community college student preferred.
• Related Fields of Study include social services, disability studies, administration, communications, technology, customer service or equivalent work experience

We want to hear from you if you have:

• Experience working with the general public.
• Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
• Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.

Eligibility
This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. To be eligible to participate in the Canada Summer Jobs initiative, individuals must:

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment,
• Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
