KNOWLEDGE

 In-Depth knowledge of heavy equipment design, including principles of mechanics, material science, and electrical and hydraulic systems.

 Knowledge of various engineering software tools and CAD software.

 Knowledge of quality assurance standards and methods for product design and development.

 Familiarity with various materials used in heavy equipment manufacturing, including steel and alloys.  Understanding of various manufacturing processes, including welding, forging, and casting.

 Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, such as safety standards for heavy equipment and transportation systems.

 Understanding of project management methodologies and tools for complex engineering projects.

 Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

 Understanding supply chain management principles and practices.

 Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies in heavy equipment and transportation systems.

EXPERIENCE

 10+ years of experience in heavy design and development, with a track record of delivering high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

 At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing teams of engineers and support staff.

 Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept to launch, including managing budgets and timelines.

 Strong familiarity with manufacturing processes, including welding, forging, and casting.

 Knowledge of the transportation industry and its unique challenges, including the ability to develop customized solutions for customers.

 Strong project management skills, including the use of relevant methodologies and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

 Strong technical background with a thorough understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

 P.Eng designation, indicating a professional level of knowledge and expertise in engineering.

 Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team of engineers and support staff.

 Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information to a variety of audiences, including clients, executives, and staff.
