What You’ve Accomplished


You have completed a BS in Engineering Physics. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have strong technical problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, have worked in an engineering role for at least 0-2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You may have also acquired the following skills:


  • Experience with 3D Modeling, Engineering Analysis Software, Engineering Codes and Standards (i.e. ASME B31.1, ASME BPVC, CSA N285)
  • Experience with Customer Relations or Customer service.
  • Nuclear Site Access Security Clearance will be required prior to start of work.
  • Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
  • Experience with OPG or Bruce Power ECC processes.

As an Early Career Mechanical Engineer in Pickering, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:


  • Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
  • Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing and maintaining structures, systems and components.
  • Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies
  • Provides engineering advice, as needed.
  • Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd
  • Performs standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
  • Works on special projects, as directed.
  • Under direct supervision, this role includes standard engineering work requiring application of standard established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks in support of Nuclear Facilities.
  • May independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Receives assistance and instructions on unusual or more complex features and possible solutions, as needed.
  • Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff.
  • Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
