Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing:

As eMC’s Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in achieving company growth targets by managing, leading, and supporting the sales and business development teams. Specifically, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Schedule and attend appointments. Lead meetings and webinars with decision makers and executives at prospect companies and organizations. Represent eMC at trades shows and other public events.
  • Work closely with leadership and cross-functional members of the management team to drive and implement corporate strategy and long-range planning based on current portfolio opportunities and risks.
  • Achieve company growth targets by effectively managing, leading and supporting the sales and business development teams.
  • Oversee the growth of the business development portfolio in the British Columbia and Canadian markets by developing and executing plans to reach goals, monitoring progress, and making course corrections, as necessary.
  • Manage and expand existing sales pipelines and referral partnerships.
  • Lead business development team on new customer discovery and communication. Likely a bit of travel within the U.S.A and Canada.
  • Follow industry trends and news as it relates to your work and provide summaries of impactful information to the executive team.
  • Continue development of our CRM and generate best-practices for the sales team.
  • Work with Director of Operations to build best practices for transitioning eMission Control partners between company departments.


What We’re Looking For:

We're seeking a results-driven and motivated Business Development Manager with a passion for clean tech and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in hiring, coaching and motivating a business development team to succeed.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success on results, outcomes, and achievements
  • 3+ years of applicable sales management experience.
  • Experience with CRM’s and the ability to create reports and dashboards.
  • Basic understanding of electric vehicles and equipment is a benefit but not required.
  • Fluent in English and French a plus
  • An interest in renewable energy, alternative transportation, and clean tech.
  • Goal-driven, multi-tasker with an attention to detail who thrives working in a fast-pasted, dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in G-Suite and Office products.
