Job Title: Business Analyst IV

Location: Toronto, ON

General Accountability:

Reporting to the AVP, Strategic Initiatives and Support, Investments, GWAM Canada, the Business Analyst is accountable for the supporting various streams of a significant transformational initiative at Manulife. The incumbent will work with resources and functions across GWAM Canada to fulfill business initiatives objectives, which may include; business planning, GAP analysis, requirement creation, agile story creation, process mapping, reporting and other miscellaneous activities. Candidate should have financial services experience. Knowledge of JIRA is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Focus on service and quality excellence with an eye to continuous improvement
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose high level information into a detail business cases and cost benefit analysis.
• Elicit information on business processes and requirements using interviews, research techniques, document analysis and workshops facilitation amongst multiple stakeholders.
• Support Project Manager and stream leads, with suggested work breakdown structure.
• Work independently or with other team members on large initiatives.
• Document future state and current state business processes and impacts.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:

• Occasional travel to Toronto, Oakville, or Waterloo locations. Work location is up to the candidate.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, an ability to manage multiple assignments with competing priorities, excellent communication skills.
• A minimum of 5 + year’s work experience in the financial services industry
• The candidate should be self-confident, energetic, have an inquisitive mind
• Bachelor’s degree in financial or business-related field, or equivalent
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Professional certification supporting waterfall and agile a plus
