Adecco is hiring a Bilingual HR and Health & Safety Business Partner toprovide strategic consultation and hands-on partnership in the areas of employee relations, performance management, talent development, health & safety and training. This position is remote and candidates can be located anywhere in Canada. French/English Bilingualism, fluent in both verbal and written communication, is a requirement to be considered for this opportunity. What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the delivery and deployment of HR programs and processes, such as the Performance Management cycle, Annual Salary Review, and Talent Review. Assessing effectiveness of current practices and programs, providing recommendations on enhancements to support a performance-driven culture.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters in Quebec. Responsible for CNESST worker compensation management including assisting with accident investigation and providing modified duties instructions to field colleagues. Filing claims on CNESST website including medical expertise mandates, administrative disputes, admissibility, revision, complementary medical reports, and BEM (Medical Evaluation Bureau). Managing CNESST annual salary declaration and choice of limit. Reviewing and revising corporate safety policies and processes to ensure they align with the laws and business in Quebec.
  • Providing strategic coaching, guidance and advice to designated client group on employment-related issues, including, but not limited to, interpretation of company policies and procedures, applicable provincial employment and health & safety legislation and standards, attendance, performance management, accommodation, terminations, strategic planning, and compensation as they relate to both the associate and colleague population.
  • Identifying client group training needs and individual coaching and development needs. Contributing to the development and delivery of human resources and health & safety training (site safety evaluations and accident investigation procedures) for all levels of colleagues.
  • Fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued, by role-modelling exceptional collaboration across functions to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all colleagues that respects individual strengths, views and experiences in order to drive innovation and deliver positive, incremental business results.
  • Managing and resolving complex associate and colleague employee relations and health & safety incidents/issues. Conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations, assessing and reducing legal risk, ensuring regulatory compliance and determining appropriate course of action. Responsible for managing mediations, appeals and hearings in Quebec and collaborating with the legal department as needed.
  • Partnering with leadership, to continuously evaluate and improve colleague and associate experience by interpreting relevant data and trends related to engagement, safety incidents, employee relations trends and investigation outcomes and turnover/retention reporting. Assists in identifying causal relationships and developing local strategies and solutions to improve.


About you

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs. May be required to work overtime and/or travel within Canada.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive, hands-on HR experience with experience in the following areas: Health & Safety, Employee Relations, Training.
  • Experience using data and analytics to provide recommendations to clients.
  • Proactive and able to solve problems effectively and rapidly using excellent research and analytical skills.
  • High integrity, ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly confidential information.
  • Displays a willingness to cooperate and work as part of a team, assisting others when required.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of applicable labour and employment legislation, health & safety laws, regulations and standards including health & safety in an industrial environment.
  • Is able to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize any new tasks as required.
  • Bilingual French/English is required both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact positively at all levels of the organization and build strong stakeholder relationships through effective consultation, collaboration and facilitation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with an ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources, Health & Safety or related field or years of equivalent experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.
