JOB DETAILS:

Status:Full-Time, Permanent

Hours:Standard Office Hours (Monday – Friday)

Working Conditions:Office environment, long periods of time sitting behind a desk

Location:In-Person: Ancaster, ON.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Professional certification as CPA is preferred.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or related field of study
• Excellent understanding of GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations.
• Progressive experience as an accountant, assistant controller, or in a similar role.
• Experienced with financial system conversions

WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO:

• Interpret financial data to assist in operational decision-making.
• Have exceptional accounting skills and knowledge of relevant industry regulations.
• Are well-organized, self-initiating and have demonstrated a desire to understand financial results.
• Thrive on the accurate and successful completion of financial modeling, account reconciliations, fixed asset management, accounts receivable/accounts payable analysis, and other tasks related to financial projects.

OTHER RESPSONSIBILITES:

• Assisting with the development and evaluation of budgets and reports.
• Ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Preparing and managing accounts using various software programs.
• Supporting the formulation and implementation of control systems within the organization.
• Supporting the accounting department with all aspects of the general ledger.
• Preparing and consolidating financial statements and reports.
• Reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling accounts.
• Preparing and assisting with audits.
