Area Sales Manager will lead a team of local Sales Representatives/Service Representatives in developing and executing the Strategic Plan for growth while managing their own territory. Accountable for lowering our customers’ operating costs and consistently exceeding their expectations through consultative sales approach. This position will be located in the Southern Ontario Area.

Area Sales Manager will lead a team of local Sales Representatives/Service Representatives in developing and executing the Strategic Plan for growth while managing their own territory. Accountable for lowering our customers’ operating costs and consistently exceeding their expectations through consultative sales approach. This position will be located in the Southern Ontario Area.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews, host one on one meetings and provide feedback to direct reports
- Responsible for leading and directing a local team of Sales Representatives and Service Representatives
- Acquire new business within the territory utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system while supporting team members and removing barriers
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Accountable for own sales target while developing a team culture where every Sales Representative understands the expectations in growing the business
- Ensure a robust sales pipeline by conducting monthly meetings with direct reports reviewing every project in the pipeline
- Participate in Lockdown Audits and Business Reviews at top accounts
- Responsible to develop and build relationships direct reports, coaching them on improving solution generation, customer focus, negotiating and communications skills
- Collaborate with all levels of the organization including decision makers/influencers in Key Accounts while taking responsibility for large accounts and opportunities
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in industrial sales, preferably in chemicals sales
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and managing a budget
- Demonstrated ability in building and managing long-term customer relationships
- Ability to manage shifting priorities/change in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 50% with some overnight travel
- Professionally developed sales and territory management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, CRM
- Ability to multi-task, manage time and prioritize with an attention to detail
- Proven experience prospecting, closing new projects and delivering effective presentations
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science or a related field, and/or related industry experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with all levels of the organization
