Title: Architect and Design Sales Representative
Location: Vancouver, BC
Reports To: A&D Manager & VP Ontario
Experience/Proficiency: 5+ years’ experience in a similar role (a plus but not necessary for internal recruitment) Education: A college diploma or university degree in business, project management, interior design and architecture Hours: 40
General Description:
The ideal candidates must be able to work under minimal supervision as part of a dynamic team in a fast
paced, client-oriented sales environment. Handling clients with a high level of professionalism and courtesy is required while providing expertise and knowledge in the stone and tile industry to customers. This role requires strong business acumen along with a capacity to assist corporate promotion to architects, designers, dealers/re-sellers and end users in the generation of profitable sales.
Skill/Effort Requirements:
• Must have stone & tile industry knowledge
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role (a plus but not necessary for internal recruitment)
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills
• Must have great presentation skills
• Able to relate effectively and professionally with clients and team members.
• Must be people oriented
• Must have entrepreneurial skills
• Must be results-oriented
• Must possess strong computer skills
• A college diploma or university degree in business, project management, interior design and architecture
Responsibilities:
• Supporting customers by providing detailed information/specs on products
• Identify and build profitable long-term relationships with the architectural and design community
• Strategically planning, managing and participating in the complete sales cycle - prospecting, qualifying, presenting and closing on sales opportunities
• Strategically planning and developing new business opportunities by effectively networking with and developing new relationships with other professionals who will refer potential clients
• Creating and delivering design solution presentations
• Continually maintaining and building relationships with existing clients
• Estimating prospective opportunities for inclusion in formal quotations or tenders
• Providing post-sale customer service with respect to deliveries, warranty or deficiency claims
• Any other tasks and functions required
