Job purpose

The inside sales/sales support representative is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. The primary responsibility of this role will be to support our team of experienced outside sales representatives. These responsibilities include writing quotes, follow up with customers quotes and orders, data entry within our CRM platform (Salesforce), and following through on orders to ensure customer satisfaction. Other duties and responsibilities are listed below. Inside sales at Griff is the starting point to multiple different career opportunities with our organization, from outside sales and purchasing to management.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Updating stock-owed spreadsheet as required.
• Reviewing and processing returns/refunds.
• Assisting with procurement of specialty products.
• Managing a diverse clientele with the utmost respect and superior customer service.
• Processing cash sales and charge account orders.
• Responding to requests from outside sales representatives.
• Outgoing sales calls to designated accounts.
• Providing written and verbal quotes in a professional and timely manner
• Monitoring and responding to emails in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a tidy, organized work area.
• Preparing quotes for assigned outside sales representative.
• Providing coverage for store staff on the sales counter when required.
• Assisting store staff with incoming calls/customers.
• Entering orders as requested by the assigned sales representative.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or sales experience.
• Building material knowledge or experience in the building industry is an asset.
• The ability to multi task and prioritize.
• Post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset.

Accountabilities

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• A strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) will be required to be successful in this position.
• Must work well in a team environment.

Working conditions

Full Time, Monday to Friday position
