What You’ll Do
We have an opening in our Quotations Department to support the Specification Sales team with the preparation of bids to win new projects. The Quotation Specialist is responsible for assessing project requirements and identifying the best solution that balances customer needs and company profitability.
The role will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
· Organizing incoming pricing requests from electrical distributors and the Sales team
· Generating a bill of material
· Liaising with vendors, customers and staff
· Facilitating job closing strategies
· Conducting pricing follow-ups
· Assisting with technical support on post-sales issues
· Maintaining and strengthening vendor and distributor relationships
What You Offer
This role involves strategy and problem solving, and a lot of moving parts. It is vital to the Sales team’s ability to meet customer goals, and as such, must be held by someone who is service oriented and a team player, as well as proactive, self-motivated and accountable for their contributions.
Success in this role also requires:
· Post-secondary education in electrical tech or 3-5 years’ experience in a related field
· Proven bid experience in the electrical industry.
· Experience with electrical drawings and performing take offs
· Superior mathematical aptitude
· High degree of proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
· Analytical thinking and attention to detail
· Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Curiosity and an interest in keeping abreast of new technologies and strategies
· Must be eligible to work in Canada
