Job Description

Are you eager to leverage your business acumen by working as part of high performing investment team? Are you ready to apply your critical thinking skills, delve into new investment opportunities, and contribute to the financial security of hundreds of thousands of Albertans? If so, this opportunity in the Infrastructure team might be your next exciting career step.

Highly successful team members share common characteristics. They are self-starting, intellectually curious team players who are results driven. With outstanding financial modelling, communication, analytical, and time management skills, they propel our investment and asset management efforts. These individuals are relationship builders and are comfortable interacting with diverse internal and external stakeholders. They support each other through challenges and enthusiastically celebrate team accomplishments. Often, they are either considering the pursuit of a professional designation (e.g., CFA, CPA, CBV) or are already engaged in their studies.

As the successful Analyst, Infrastructure, you will assist senior team members in managing our Infrastructure portfolio, currently valued at over $17.4 billion and growing. You will collaborate closely with senior investment professionals in a competitive global environment, conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities and monitoring existing portfolio investments. Your keen attention to detail, resilience under pressure, and commitment to excellence in financial modelling, market research, and investment analysis are fundamental to this role. Over time you will receive coaching and develop a deeper understanding of the M&A process, negotiations, investment structuring, and managing private investments. If you are ready to leverage your skills to make a significant impact, we would love to hear from you.

Asset Management

  • Lead the preparation of recurring and ad hoc asset class commentary and presentations (e.g., quarterly client reports, CIO reports, etc.)

Year One Success

is achieved by demonstrating adaptability in the face of shifting priorities and making positive contributions to team culture. Additionally, the successful candidate will have evaluated several types of infrastructure investments, worked on various financial models, provided analysis based on market research and due diligence workstreams, and created investment committee presentations for a diverse set of investment opportunities.
