Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Analyst III is responsible for facilitating and coordinating all testing related activities, including but not limited to analysing test results, providing recommendation, and evaluating next steps. The Quality Assurance Analyst III will also manage the development and implementation of test plan/strategy including design, execution and maintenance of manual test cases and test suites for functional, regression and smoke validation across all environments and services supported by the Finning Digital platform within the feature delivery and support cycle.

Major Job Functions:

• Coordinate and provide testing summary and execution results.
• Design, create, update, review, maintain and execute well-structured test cases/suites for various applications and API’s as well as document and track any bugs or production issues.
• Test delivery

• Identify testing opportunities, recommendations and provide feedback.
• Participate in planning, estimating, and verifying user stories and acceptance.
• Gathering both technical and business requirements
• Work closely with the different Digital & Scrum teams

• Analysis and support
• Provide testing expertise and knowledge sharing to other members of the team.
• Collaborate with business units to gain better understanding on how to improve workflow and process efficiency through exploratory testing.
• Participate in product and infrastructure discovery, design, and review sessions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis on production issues.
• Mentor and coach other QA team members

• Coordinate transitioning to support.
• Provide testing sign-off.
• Manage feature delivery releases

• Assist in research and study new and evolving technologies, standards, and processes as it relates to Software Quality Assurance
• Identify toolsets and other testing needs including any recommendations as needed
• Research and innovation

Accountability:

• Developing strategic testing road map for the team based on the agreed upon business and product requirements
• Planning and executing the developed test suites based on planned and ad hoc needs
• Championing and adhering to industry standards and best testing practices
• Providing testing sign-off and a summarized report to the business and product stakeholders with the results of the executed tests – this is big sign off on the results for the team

Education & Experience:

• Azure and Azure DevOps Experience (Desirable)
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience with SQL database (Desirable)
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and executing test scripts to validate features in API and applications
• ISTQB, CSTE or equivalent certification(s) (Desirable)
• Minimum 5 years of experience creating and implementing test plans/strategies.
• Knowledge in one or more functional programming language (Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript, .Net, C#) is desired.
• Understanding of Angular and Vue.js applications, Power BI, and Power Platform is an advantage.
• Exposure of Adobe Experience Manager (Desirable)
• Proficient using test management and REST API testing tools

• Self-motivated, detail oriented, independent thinker with excellent communication skills
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is an advantage
• Excellent organization and time management skills
