SENIOR APPLICATION TEST ANALYST (ServiceNow Platform Tester / Government of Alberta Contact Centres Implementation)

Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one (1) Senior Application Test Analyst to join our talented Service Delivery team at Ministry of Technology and Innovation (Government of Alberta) to support the Contact Centres Implementation using CX-One and ServiceNow technologies as a Platform Tester.


The successful contractor(s) have an anticipated May 1, 2023 start date for an initial 12-month contract (ending April 30, 2024) with 6-month extension available (total contract term up to 18-months).


NOTES ON LOCATION: The successful candidate will work remotely. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security policies. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time.

PROJECT OVERVIEW


The contact centre program is initiated to bring consistent service to 80+ contact centres located within different ministries. These contact centres are serving Albertans, and a significant number of other departments, boards, and agencies.

Reporting to the Contact Centre Service Owner, the resource will participate in testing needs identified within contact centre program. This includes CX-One and associated tools and ServiceNow technologies.

Contact centre is one of many programs that leverage the platform technology we are using. Along with Contact Centre the resource will be assigned to other programs throughout the term.


ADDITIONAL DELIVERY DETAILS


  • Assist in the continuous improvement of the contact centre platform.
  • Conduct testing for the program outside contact centre.
  • Conduct testing on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Ensure code written is thoroughly tested by following testing best practices including the use of unit testing, system testing, and performance testing.
  • Participate in the design, development, construction, testing, delivery, implementation and maintenance of contact centre applications for the ministry as required.
  • Participate in analysis of ministry requirements and assist in bringing consistent testing strategy
  • Provide tracking and reporting of time and status on all work as required.
  • Assist in troubleshooting application issues in any environment.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining contact centre test environments required to maintain the application.


DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Candidate will establish testing approaches to effectively measure test results and provide confirmation; ensure test cases reflect the scope of business requirements and development being delivered.


Independently lead the following activities and be able to lead a team to do the following activities:

  • Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement and issue resolution.
  • Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions.
  • Lead, coach and project manage more junior solution testers.
  • Implement individual tests.
  • Develop and execute test plans.
  • Identify the target test items to be evaluated by the test effort.
  • Analyze and recover from execution errors.
  • Attend necessary meetings to review testing inputs/outputs and provide status updates.
  • Evaluate the outcome of each test cycle.
  • Gather and manage the test data.
  • Set up and execute the tests.
  • Track test results, statistics, metrics and status.
  • Define the appropriate tests required and any associated test data.
  • Support project teams utilizing automated testing tools.
  • Log outcomes and verify test execution.
  • Support project team members in the analysis of issues.
  • Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test.


MANDATORY SKILLS

- Proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following: (10+ years)


  • University graduation in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline and 6-yr IT/QA experience;

OR

  • 2-yr diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline and 8-yr IT/QA experience;

OR

  • 1-yr certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline and 9-yr IT/QA experience;

OR

  • 10-yr IT/QA experience


- Experience preparing or supporting the preparation of test plans and test cases (8+ years)


- Experience writing test cases from use cases, non-functional requirements and design documents (8+ years)


- Experience and understanding of Software QA, Testing and Defect Lifecycle (8+ years)


- Experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks (6+ years)


- Experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements gathering and detailed design specifications (6+ years)


- ServiceNow Administration certification and experience as an administrator (6+ years)


- Proposed resource must work from within Canada, due to network and data security policies. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time.


DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS


- Experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing (6+ years)


- Experience in identifying testing issues and implementing improved processes and resolutions (6+ years)


- Experience testing in both web and mobile environments (4+ years)


- Experience with Contact centre scenario planning (1+ years)


- Working knowledge of the ServiceNow Agile Test Management module (1+ years)


- Experience working with Business & Application Maintenance representatives to analyze issues reported by (or in) production (4+ years)


- Experience with Agile methodology (2+ years)


- Experience implementing automated testing methods (1+ years)
