Renewable Origination Manager Jobs

Possess strong planning, scheduling and project management skills with the ability to plan and work independently

Participate and support site safety and environmental management systems; assure safety and environmental considerations are included in engineering products

Collaborate with the North American engineering team to provide engineering, management and technical support to operating sites

Present engineering analysis and recommendations to site staff, management and directors

Demonstrated leadership skills to manage and supervise people

A bachelor’s degree in business with a minimum of 5 years experience in customer management, sales, business development and marketing.

Identify investment opportunities and propose finance structures for existing and potential projects to benefit FortisBC and its customers.

Experience in project investment, project finance and debt/equity finance.

Build on the first year of experience and progress through multiple new opportunities to secure new renewable gas investment opportunities.

Excellent knowledge of industrial equipment, gas infrastructure and or gas supply and gas marketing are an asset.

Exceptional analytical skills with an ability to analyze commercial arrangements with appropriate financial analysis to support conclusions.

Accountability for contract customer relationship management and negotiation of third-party marketing agreements for regional marketing/transaction support as required.

Build relationships and collaborate with the operations and finance teams, particularly around middle and back-office matters.

Credible: You have proven negotiation skills that enable you to establish connections quickly.

Detail-oriented: You have demonstrated experience in being hands-on in projects to inform key project and business decisions.

Process-oriented: You are organized and thorough in providing structure to projects and experienced in connecting multiple stakeholders together with aligned interests.

Significant Power and Gas Sales contracting experience.

Develop and review business cases for portfolio company value creation initiatives (e.g., debt refinancings, expansion projects, management compensation, ongoing budgeting, etc.)

Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; prior work-related or academic experience using Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSet is viewed favourably

Experience in the infrastructure and/or energy sectors is considered an asset

Prior experience in complex financial modelling, asset valuation, and presentation building is highly regarded

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive under high-pressure situations to meet strict deadlines

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a demonstrated ability to influence others and present effectively to senior-level audiences
