2023 GRM, Fall Analyst - Model Validation (4 Months)

What will you do?

• Develop concepts, plan a course of action, execute the plan in a reasonable amount of time, and deliver results in a thorough and organized presentation
• Articulate the scope and approach on the Enterprise-wide approach to model validation to RBC Management, External Regulators, and Internal Audit
• Proactively validate solutions and AML surveillance as it applies to detecting and counteracting emerging risks and typologies for ML / TF as well as continuously assessing RBC’s risk exposure.
• Support and manage independent validations of AML models and scenarios across various lines of business and ensure that any deficiencies are properly documented and reported
• Effectively communicate inherent model risks and limitations, develop methodologies that demonstrate and challenge assumptions within models, and evaluate metrics as a component of each validation
• Leverage and support the AML Model Validation Manager to make model related decisions and assist in development and maintenance of documentation

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Good knowledge of data mining applications (SAS, Python, R)
• Analytical skills

Nice-to-have

• Skilled in open-source research
• Knowledge of banking systems and data
• AML knowledge
