Job Description

The Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the Inbound logistics, inventory and receiving activities of the company in a timely, efficient, and safe environment and ensures quality of product and service provided by both GN Corporations and its Suppliers. The Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator ensures that quality assurance is in accordance with expectations set out in quality procedures, quality assurance manual and work instructions and is equal to the requirements of the ISO9001 Standard.

Specific Functions

  • Coordinate and process overall warehouse inventory procedures
  • Maintains files for appropriate and relevant records for the Plant
  • Prepares and distributes reports for management and operational purposes
  • Duties as directed by the Supervisor - Inventory & Logistics Manger
  • Develop and implement shipping and receiving needs (materials, equipment, paper works, etc.)
  • Supervise loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipment of products
  • Plans, coordinates and conducts inventory periodical counts in conjunction
  • Ensure proper company warehouse and supply-chain procedures are followed (excluding accounting)
  • Resolve any scheduling-related issues (including last-minute changes) in a timely manner ensuring seamless shipping and distribution operations
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure safe handling of all packages and warehouse needs
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel on proper operations of logistics solutions, including labelling, barcoding, tagging, and tracking accurately
  • Participates in, contributes to and implements the Corporate Health, Safety and Wellness Policy program and ensures conformance to the specific Responsibilities and Accountability as attached hereto.
  • Identifies and controls, in conjunction with Inventory & Logistics Manger and Controller, the inventory that is obsolete or slow moving
  • Assist in requisition of materials and supplies for the department
  1. Additional Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Quality Management System– Understand and apply GN Corporations Inc. quality system requirements, including customer requirements and legal requirements.
  • Understand and apply GN Corporations Inc. policy for its commitment to quality.
  • Understanding, identifying and applying applicable procedures.
  • Participate actively in training, operational improvement teams, preventative and corrective actions and identifying non-conformities.
  • Responsible for the correct use protective clothing and equipment as provided by GN Corporations Inc. and for guarding against misuse or damage to such equipment.
  • Responsible for reporting any hazardous situations arising in the workplace that cannot be self-corrected, or injury incurred during work, no matter how minor.
  • Responsible for avoiding injury resulting from manual handling tasks associated with his/her employment, by use of risk assessment, correct mechanical handling equipment and appropriate manual handling techniques.
  • Occupational Health and Safety – Understand and apply GN Corporations Inc. Health and Safety policy as well as be responsible for his/her own health and safety at work. Responsible to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission.
  • Industry Standards and Regulations – Be familiar with all relevant industry standards, recommended practices and regulations. Monitor self-compliance with company, industry, environment and government requirements as well as promote their acceptance in all aspects of company business.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of major couriers – FedEx, Purolator, UPS, etc. including how to operate their respective software packages,
  • High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment,
  • High-school diploma or equivalent,
  • Understanding of local and international freight procedures,
  • Must have a valid forklift license,
  • Ability to multitask and assist production team when required.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in warehouse and logistics coordination and supervision,
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is a must,
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 50lb
