Position Summary


Reporting to the Global Manager Logistics , the Transportation Analyst will be responsible for performing Transportation Spend Analysis and Reporting, monitoring CARM Portal for Duties and GST payments, obtaining Statmenet of Accounts from Carriers and ensuring timley Freight invoice payments, monitoring Routing guide compliance and reporting Outliers, Registring new Transportation vendors in IFS, processing rebilling to customers where applicable, filing claims for damaged & lost shipments, maintaining strong communication with carriers.

Tasks and responsibilities


  • Managing Transportation Inbox, validation of Freight invoices as per guidelines and processing invoices as per weekly payment schedule for each Logistics service provider according to the appropriate GL Coding.
  • Planning and executing global shipments to and from all depots and entities worldwide.
  • Monitoring of Routing guide and reporting any fraud / malicious activity.
  • Managing and monitoring Billing Portals for all carriers, receiving updated Statement of Accounts from Carriers and responding to freight payment queries in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring the CARM Portal and CERS Portals for De Havilland and Viking.
  • Arranging for Rebilling to Customers / Suppliers where applicable.
  • Performing spend analysis and reporting actuals vs budgeted numbers related to Materials Management & Logistics Budget on a monthly basis.
  • Other day to day Logistics tasks as required.
  • Keeping check of Accruals with regards to Logistics spend.
  • Managing Spend Tracker for Materials Management & Logistics and capturing the data required by coordinating with AP teams and Operational managers.


Education & Experience


  • Experience working with Customer Service and issue resolutions.
  • Experience working with invoice validations and payment processing.
  • Experience working with Logistics Service providers and managing their relationships and contracts.
  • 2-3 years of working in a similar role.
  • Experience with General Import and Export requirements.
  • Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration, Engineering or aerospace related degree, or equivalent experience. An MBA would be an asset.
  • CSCP / CLTD / SCMA / PMP Certification would be a plus.
  • Experience working with ERPs. IFS experience would be an asset.
