Responsibilities

This role will be primarily maintaining, issuing, and receiving our fleet of safety equipment, including but not limited to:

• Tracking inventory usage
• Vehicles
• Respiratory Protection Equipment (RPE) - SCBA, SABA, Breathing Air Trailers
• Gas detection, various brands
• Purchasing replacement equipment and consumables to maintain effective stock
• Preparing equipment and assigning to projects as per the Job sheet.
• Radios
• Harness and their annual inspections
• Rescue equipment

Utilizing Canadian Safety Services Inventory Management Scan System.

This all includes the documentation that goes with the above tasks - Paper trails are essential.

On-site

In line with the position's primary role, on-site tasks will include running the Distribution Trailer, the Quality Control Trailer, and your Quality Control team.

Secondary roles can vary depending on career aspirations however if the job is too small to require a quality control team we may ask that you come to site and support any of the following tasks: (Everyone pitches in, including Senior Management)

Safety Watch duties

Emergency Response Technician

Project Coordinator

Breathing Air Tech

Hot shots

Qualifications

• Full class 5 driving license - essential
• Self Motivated, Self Starter, Can work with the "Task Objective" as sufficient direction and does not need to be micro-managed.
• Scott Technician Level 1 - asset
• Document and procedure creation experience -asset
• Competent to excellent computer skills - excel, word, outlook, Teams
• High Angle Rescue Technician Training - asset
• Harness Inspection - asset
• Leadership Management skills essential
• Scott Technician Level 2 - asset
• Gigatrack training - asset
• Onsite Safety Services background - Essential
• Logistics background an asset

We are looking for the "Right Person", that team player who is willing to learn and get stuck in. Canadian Safety is growing and we need to expand our dedicated and diverse team members.

This is a full-time position, that requires daily travel to Kuusamo Industrial Park, just outside Sylvan Lake. Travel and on-site work is also required, especially during TA season.
