Empowered Futures is a non-profit organization supporting emerging adults as they transition into adulthood. Our organization offers self-empowerment workshops and business mentorships. We aim to inspire and promote mental well-being in individuals ages 18-29.

General Marketing Position (Remote/Unpaid Volunteering Role)

We are seeking a volunteer for our Marketing position at Empowered Futures, an innovative Canadian Non-Profit Charity attempting to tackle the difficult issue of the increasing rate of depression in our young adults.

Through self-empowerment, business mentorship, and support we aim to build more confident, emotionally intelligent, and resourceful adults. Using the principles of integrity, goal setting and responsibility learned through business, Empowered Futures looks to inspire hope. Despite the complexities related to this topic, there is hope and we believe suicide can be prevented if collective efforts are harnessed to instill healing, raise awareness and promote mental health and well-being.

Responsibilities

Seeking a personable and highly motivated volunteer to support the Empowered Futures charity with the marketing committee.

Responsibilities and Duties include

• Track the effectiveness of our social media work and recommend ways to test content and review its impact.
• Take part in monthly teleconference meetings with committee members.
• Help create marketing plans.
• Help create and maintain a social media plan.
• Develop and manage content for our website and social media, such as Instagram & LinkedIn.
• Help develop a marketing kit.
• Ability to develop publicity materials is an asset.
• Ensure that communication reaches a diverse audience.

Qualifications And Experience

• Finding effective ways to communicate ideas.
• The ability to work equally well in a team and unsupervised.
• Have an experience and understanding of different types of marketing and communications media, including electronic and social media.
• Willing and excited about brainstorming social media content and performing other marketing tasks as assigned.
• Understanding Empowered Futures’ core missions and values.
