Role


The VAR Account Manager is responsible for developing new business relationships and serve as the first level of support to existing partners. Working on the Account Manager team at Ooma provides a compelling opportunity for Sales Professionals with a proven track record of up selling existing customers and generating referrals in technology or telecom sales. This role is onsite based in our Vancouver office.


Responsibilities


  • Meet and exceed up-sell goals via customer education on the value of the Ooma suite of applications and services
  • Focused on growing and developing existing Ooma customers and generating new business
  • Execute best sales practices and techniques as coached by management
  • Consistently follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality and customer service
  • Champion customer at all levels internally and by training VARs to efficiently represent the customer
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue achievement using Salesforce
  • Key role in new business pitches responsible for the effective on-boarding of new clients
  • Achieve and exceed individual monthly sales quota through the VAR sales channel
  • Write business plans for current and opportunity tender business


Requirements


  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Methodical approach with the ability to capitalize on momentum
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven account management and relationship building skills
  • Salesforce and forecasting experience
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • 2 + years of quota carrying B2B account management Sales experience in Telecom, VoIP, Networking or IT
  • Work ONSITE in our Vancouver, BC office
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive mind set
