Job Title: MANAGER, TECHNOLOGY DELIVERY

Primary Location: REMOTE – Ontario, Canada

Position Type: Contract (3 month +)

Overview:

TalentFish is casting a line for a Technology Delivery Manager. This is a remote contract role in Ontario, Canada. This role reports to the Senior Technology Manager and acts as the main point of contact for 2 Senior Developers (1 Back-End and 1 Front-end) in the project tech team. This role requires working international hours as the team is based in Europe (GMT).

The Technology Delivery Manager will organize, oversee and direct a global technology-driven solution. This role would be aligned with the technology practice and be the key link between development, product, digital, and project management teams. This role will ensure the business requirements and milestones are understood by the team and will address capabilities and gaps to drive on-time, on-budget, and on-expectation delivery of the final product.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 5 + years of experience managing technology solutions, digital and/or mobile projects, preferably in a consulting, traditional agency, or digital technology platform environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.

Core Qualifications (Required):

• Advanced knowledge of development life cycles, web/mobile technologies, and the delivery of solutions with creative and engineering components.
• Experience with leveraging public cloud infrastructure (specifically AWS/EC2)
• Advanced understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, manage resource allocations, and run team meetings.
• Experience with Web UI development and JavaScript libraries (React js, Vue js, etc.)
• Familiarity with RESTful API architectures
• Experience with Data pipelines and analytics
• Experience implementing technology solutions in role(s) such as developer, producer, analyst, etc.
• Experience working with reliable DevOps solutions, continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Experience with backend development platform languages such as PHP
• Experience with people management and leading a team.
• Experience with Martech industry

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide development, testing, debugging, and additional Project Management support wherever and whenever needed/appropriate.
• Represent the tech team's needs and be a voice for them.
• Support PM team with third party (QA/vendors) technical impacts.
• Educate, implement, and maintain development standards, trends, and best practices with user experience, design, copywriters, and other contributors and stakeholders.
• Work with digital and account teams to ensure engineering tasks are feasible and reasonable, and ensure they are agreed on and understood by team.
• Guide product and tech teams on useful Scrum methodologies and producing agile artifacts (i.e. roadmaps and backlogs)
• Facilitate and support releases.
• Help strategize and support development of MVPs.
• Manage user stories and JIRA tickets alongside project BA's.
• Monitor workflow and make recommendations for timeline adjustments.
• Work with PM to support/create project plans/timelines.
• Ensure on-time and quality deliverables.
• Remove impediments blocking the development team.
• Interface with client Project Managers as a technical voice representing our team.
• Lead, manage and support the project development team.
• Gather, review, and compile technology requirements and other documentation.
• Collaborate with the development team and PM to plan project sprints.
• Triage and prioritize new requests.
• Communicate business cases, acceptance criteria, and user stories so they are understood by all teams.
