What You’ll Be Doing

At Enterprise Digital, we’re building the bank of the future. The Sr. Manager, Enterprise Digital will be accountable for supporting and driving key digital strategic initiatives, shaping up ideal state digital capabilities for the enterprise in partnership with CIBC’s business units and functional areas. This role will influence our digital future for capabilities like digitization (amongst others) and ensure that the enterprise digital team is delivering growth for the bank while creating digital capabilities that ensure smart capital deployment. This may be accomplished by leading the enterprise digital sprint capability and working with internal and external partners to translate their needs into actionable opportunities. This involves a line of business engagements, partnering closely with business leaders in pipeline management, managing the lifecycle of exploring and assessing potential solutions and prioritizing requests with the objective of delivering strategic evaluations that will ultimately lead to the creation and enhancement of CIBC’s core digital capabilities and services.

This is a highly collaborative mandate with exposure across the bank and will require strong thought leadership, strategic decision-making, and proactive stakeholder management. The role will play a key role in leading cross-functional efforts with the objective to put in place highly complex strategic digital transformation and integration activities to drive increased profitability, productivity, and client experience. The focus of this role will be flexible to meet the needs of our evolving digital strategy as the industry changes and our needs evolve.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Lead capability teams and digital concept assessment process: Work closely with product owners, pod, and business stakeholders to turn concepts and ideas into detailed assessments and strategies. You are comfortable in ambiguous situations and running workshops.
  • Enable the enterprise digital business: Ensure success and ongoing transparency across the enterprise by leading roadshows of Enterprise Digital engagements.
  • People and culture leadership: Lead by example and cultivate digital stewardship across the enterprise.
  • Relationships across the enterprise: Leverage a one-team approach to identify and prioritize digital programs that drive profitable revenue growth, adoption, and usage of capabilities to support enterprise needs. Effectively consult and collaborate with key partners and stakeholders across CIBC to create transparency and visibility to ensure alignment and clarity across the board.
  • Key lead of key strategic digital assessments and programs: Support key digital initiatives including the development of the ideal state and creating assessments on bridging existing gaps and potential solutions to inform the ideal future state.
  • Deliver with speed: You can manage multiple priorities at the same time and iterate effectively, with minimal oversight. You understand and support agile, innovative thinking and ensure we’re delivering on time, within scope and budget, and are future-proofed.
  • Influence our future: Build expertise in digital capabilities and create alignment across the enterprise to advance exploration. Be a thought leader in transformation initiatives to optimize CIBC’s capability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Enable new opportunities and our future: Assess the market and emerging digital opportunities for increased revenue growth and enhanced client experiences, and stay relevant in advances within digital banking. Design and deliver robust business cases for proposed strategic direction and associated initiatives. Solicit feedback formally and informally from stakeholders and all lines of business to ensure ongoing leadership strength and momentum.
