Emphasys Software is seeking an experienced a Development Manager to lead its growing Development teams.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager, the Development Manager will lead multiple development teams tasked with maintaining existing products to guard recurring revenue and will work with leadership to research areas for new product development, effectively growing the division. To be successful at these two core tasks, the Development Manager should be comfortable engaging developers, architects, and product owners.

The Development Manager Will Have The Following Primary Responsibilities

• Engage architects and product owners to implement the product roadmap through development activities
• Establish Agile practices that focus on the customer and deliver value quickly
• Lead in technology research & support activities
• Define release criteria, cadence, and processes so that our clients experience consistent levels of quality
• Work closely with leadership to create a division-wide strategy for the PHA Division
• Build high-performing software development teams
• Narrate key milestones of the divisional strategy through the product roadmap

Requirements

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities to deliver projects on schedule
• Experience managing and forecasting development-related financials
• Experience with CI/CD deployment of on-premises and cloud solutions
• Experience with all aspects of personnel management including development, performance reviews, training, mentoring and disciplinary action
• A core ability and judgment to arbitrate on development decisions to balance risk, cost, time and quality
• Proven experience delivering complex software projects and solutions effectively through Agile methodologies on a regular release cadence
• 2+ years of direct resource/team management
• Experience working and collaborating cross-functionally and cross-organizationally on strategic objectives and leading through influence
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development
